On December 7, 2011, at approximately 1858 hrs, an Oliver resident reported the Break & Enter to his residence located in the 34000 Block of 103rd street, Oliver. Entry was gained through the side door entrance to the garage. The most significant item that was stolen was approximately $100 in US change.
On November 29th 2011, an Oliver resident reported that she had been assaulted with a glass bottle on November 23rd by a 29 year old female Oliver resident. The suspect in this event was known to the victim. Injuries in this offence were non life threatening and the event was likely drug and/ or alcohol related. On December 11th, 2011 the Regional GIS unit received a report of a stabbing victim who had arrived at SOGH. The 32 year old male victim in this incident was suffering from a non life threatening stab wound to his leg. Investigation by the Regional GIS Unit and members of the Oliver / Osoyoos Detachment confirmed that the suspect in this incident was the same female person that was involved in the assault which had occurred on November 23rd. That suspect has subsequently been arrested and will be appearing in Penticton Provincial Court December 12, 2011. The public is not at risk as a result of these events. Drugs and/ or alcohol appear to be a factor in this offence.
