Youth Cares was originally going to donate all their money to “helping hands” which is a newly formed environmental group focusing mainly on cleaning up schools and teaching students the benefits of a clean environment.
The group is still struggling with planning and at the moment are not in need of the funds 100%. With that, the team decided that winters around the corner and it’s still going to get extremely cold here (Nepal) in the next few months and donating toques, scarves and other things to keep street people and child workers warm throughout the season would be their way of giving back. We are travelling outside the city as well and it will be a great opportunity to give back.
Nagrik Awaaz does peace kitchens every Thursdays for all street people to enjoy a free meal. They usually feed 200 people during these peace kitchens.
Our kids from Oliver Youth Cares are beyond incredible and they know whatever they wish do to do will make an impact. I’m so happy to say a group like this exists within our community.
