1. Final adoption of a zoning bylaw at the request of Adam Sabyan for his corner lot at 350th and Highway 97 was granted. This change to zoning will allow the greatest number of commercial uses for the land and could result in a quicker sale.
2. Development Permit application was granted for a duplex to be built at 36446 – 79th Avenue. This lot used to have an older small home on it. The DP granted will allow much more square footage to be constructed.
3. All Water and Sewer rate bylaws were adopted by council setting the way for billing in 2012.
4. A water bill not paid by Oliver Parks ad Recreation Society will result in a fine of about $1200. An appeal by the Society for relief failed to get recognition. The Society is funded by both Regional District and Town. Councillors felt it would look strange if this customer received a break and not others in the system.
5. Council authorized staff to seek funding from the province to pave a path on the east side of the river at 350th. Staff also authorized to consult with Oliver Parks and Recreation Society prior to doing so. The grant to be sought in the amount of $190 thousand.
