Several months ago, a number of Tourism stakeholders in Oliver and Osoyoos met to find out how we could work cooperatively and collaboratively to market the Oliver/Osoyoos area to increase the number of visitors, particularly in the shoulder seasons. As a result, a consortium of stakeholder organizations that represent the greater community has been formed to move us forward.
The organizations represented are: Oliver Tourism Association, South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce, Destination Osoyoos, Oliver Osoyoos Winery Association, Osoyoos Indian Band, and representatives of the development community. We will be introducing each of the organizations by describing who we are, what our mandate is, who we represent, etc.
As Tourism is a major economic force in Oliver, this would be a great opportunity for the public to get a better understanding of what is happening in this area.
