A new group is forming in town – “Support SOSS Committee” headed by student Kiera Heinrichs and backed by School Superintendent Beverley Young. The group had its first meeting Tuesday at the school board offices with reps from the student body, administration, school board, town and community invited.
These are the plans so far:
Dance November 30th – see details below
Grand Opening of SOSS (newest portions – cleaned and refreshed) sometime before December 16th.
Community involvement with decorating portables, elementary school students invited to join high school classes, enhanced parking options, fun/pride activities – with the focus of getting ideas from students and having the adults facilitate and help.
On Wednesday November 30th, SOSS is having a school dance down at the community center. You must get a ticket at school and tickets are on sale near the location of the “Muffin Lady”. We repeat no tickets will be sold at the door. More details later on time and entertainment.
If you or your organization wants to help “SOSS Support” please contact Cate Turner or Tracy Harrington.
