The council of the Town of Oliver is trying to prevent the construction of any asphalt mixing or gravel crushing plants within its boundaries.

Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1307 has been given 1st and 2nd reading and a public hearing has been ordered for Monday November 28th at 7pm in Council chambers.

Council directed staff to bring in this amendment on November 3 at a special meeting requesting that in Zones M2 or CM2 – no asphalt mixing or gravel crushing operation be permitted and that council be notified of any building permit application that might be in conflict with this proposed change.
