Election returns up the valley

Kelowna’s Mayor Sharon Shepherd ousted by former Mayor Walter Gray.

In Penticton, Mayor Dan Ashton wins by a squeeze over challenger Julius Bloomfield. All incumbent councillors but one elected. Former Mayor Mike Pierce was defeated. Penticton will see two new councillors starting December 5th. In Summerland – both municipal directors at the RDOS Gordon Clark and Ken Roberge defeated – with that council getting a shake up.
