Today at 12:10 students of SOSS will be attending a Remembrance Day Ceremony outside the portables.

Guests include the Royal Canadian Legion Colour Party who will march and salute. In addition, the grade 12’s lead by Marissa Bennett will be singing the National Anthem. Afterwards, Mrs. Helen Gallagher will be accompanied by Aboriginal youth – singing the Okanagan Song.

Flanders Fields will be read in addition to a couple other poems. At the end, a roll call will be announced of soldiers in our area who fought in the war. Please wear a poppy today everyone and take time for a moment of silence on Friday downtown.

The MCs of the program are Grade 12 students Cerensa-Lee Tylor and Gillian Atkinson.
