Pictured above Educator Will Eaton – recipient of the Prime Minister’s Award for Teaching Excellence. Eaton was honoured at last night’s school board meeting.

Chair June Harrington told the meeting, the District is very proud of Mr. Eaton for his use of technology in the classroom. Eaton was teaching in Keremeos when his name was submitted for the award. He now is a Vice-Principal of U-Learn – based at OES in Oliver.

Harrington says the award was granted because of Mr. Eaton’s skill of empowering students to think beyond the classroom.
