13 year old Brittany Michaud currently under hospital care in Vancouver will not be coming back to Oliver immediately and will have to wait for a replacement heart according  her mother.

Shawna says the VAD system to help Brittany’s heart function has not worked well enough and doctors want the teenager to stay near the specialists/best hospital to await a donor heart.

In September all concerned thought that Brittany could return home and get back to school with limited capacity. But that is not to be.
