June Patricia Solien (June 16, 1931 – October 11, 2011)
On Tuesday, October 11, 2011, June Solien peacefully passed
away at the Trinity Care Centre in Penticton where she has lived for the past 4
years. June will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her sister,
Geraldine; daughters, Vickie, Cleo (Les), Robin (Todd) and son, Terry; 4
grandchildren, Amanda (Jeff), Chelsea, James and Angelene; 2 nephews, Glen and
Grant and great-nephew, Gregory. June is predeceased by her parents, Art and
Ivona Naumann and her son Carl (1996). June was born in Crooked River,
Saskatchewan. Her family moved to Kelowna for a short time when she was 8 years
old and then unto Oliver. At 19 she ventured to Vancouver for a year but
returned to Oliver where she worked at the box factory and packing house. As
well as raising her 5 children, June enjoyed gardening, dancing, baking (made
the most scrumptious cinnamon buns ever), visiting and playing cards. After
raising her children, she continued to live mainly in the Okanagan area spending
time with family and friends. There is no service at this time. Condolences can
