Event to plan for: Miradoro is holding a Pumpkin Carving Contest on October 22, 2011 from 11:30 am-1:30 pm for kids aged 3-12. Kids carving pumpkins will receive a complimentary lunch.

All pumpkins will be judged by Miradoro visitors from October 22-30. Winners will be announced on October 30. Prizes will be awarded for kids aged 3-7 and 8-12.

Harvest time at Tinhorn’s winery ~ Farming their own vineyards  allows Tinhorn Creek full control over the quality of grapes delivered to the crush pad for each vintage. Tinhorn produces wine in two tiers under one  label. The single-varietal series includes a Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir and Merlot. Only worthy wines are selected for the winery’s top tier, named the Oldfield Series.
