As the first official day for papers to be filed wraps up – it is clear there is a race on for the four seats on Town Council in Oliver as well as the position of Mayor.

Former Mayor Ron Hovanes will challenge incumbent Pat Hampson.

Incumbents Terry Schafer and Jack Bennest will face a challenge from former Mayor Linda Larson, retired businessman Dave Mattes and Main St. businesswomen Maureen Doerr.

Other people have picked up papers but the complete line up for all positions will not be known until Friday October 14th at 4pm.
