The RCMP’s Highway patrol has now released the name of a 70 year-old Okanagan Falls woman killed Friday evening while out walking near the Highway.

Almay Cumberland, 70, was walking diagonally across 9th Avenue near the intersection with Highway 97 when she was hit by a 1990 Chevy Blazer driven by a 60-year-old Penticton resident travelling westbound on Highway 97. Police say the area was not well lit at the time of the incident.
