I was blessed enough to find this beautiful kitty outside East Side Grocery and took her home.
I am not allowed to have pets in my place but for some reason I was compelled to help this kitty.
Her previous owner didn’t want her back, so I kept her for over a month trying to find a suitable home and even had an ad in the Oliver Daily News classifieds section.
Thank goodness the Okanagan Humane Society got her spayed and adopted to a nice forever home in Kelowna. That society sure has some very kind and dedicated animal lovers that volunteer and do go out of their way to help stranded pets.
We have so many homeless kittens and cats and a lot of irresponsible owners who do not spay or neuter their pets. I am glad Kiki Dee didn’t end up as a wild cat, having litter after litter of feral kittens and living on the streets.
And if you are looking to adopt a cat, they have the Humane Society cats and kittens for sale at PetSmart in Kelowna. These pets have already been spayed or neutered and have had their shots and health checked.
