From Jarred Webb:
After the SOSS fire happened, three students, Gagan Ganger (grade 10), Nikki Brar (grade 11) and Navneet Mann (grade 10) decided they wanted to do something to help out with fundraising for the school. While they were thinking of ideas, Gagan’s mom pointed out that this was the week that the Sikh temple held a monthly get together and the girls thought this would be an excellent place to fund raise. They set up a table there, and while they wern’t selling anything, donations poured in. In total they raised $2050. A big thank you to Gagan, Nikki, and Navneet for taking the time to do this act, it’s very much appreciated by the staff and students, and the community in general. A thank you to everyone in the Sikh community who donated, to raise that much money in one day is a huge accomplishment! Gagan says they plan to go back 2 more times, to continue fundraising for more.
