Dear Oliver residents:
On behalf of the Oliver Food Bank and the BC Thanksgiving Food Drive volunteers, I would like to thank each and every one of you who donated food items to the area food drive on September 17th. Through your generosity, more than 3260 pounds of food was collected. That total represents an enormous outpouring of support for the Oliver Food Bank and for the many people the food bank helps feed.
Thanks also to our many food drive volunteers, to Save-on-Foods for donating the food drive bags for the Okanagan valley, and to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for providing the information flyers.
Last weekend’s BC Thanksgiving Food Drive was a BC-wide project to support local food banks in their mission to feed the hungry. The BC Thanksgiving Food Drive is a non-denominational, community-focused project open to all interested individuals, groups, and businesses that wish to lend a hand.
With many thanks, Jordan Noftle – Oliver area coordinator
