53 vehicles lined up on Sunday September 18 at the Richter Pass Motorplex in Osoyoos, BC to find how who was fastest. The Wine Country Racing Association awarded the following winners the Plaques for their efforts:
Sportsman Warrior
Matt Phillips of Westbank drove his blue 2008 Subaru to victory
defeating Elvis Glenn of Osoyoos in his white 1984 Camaro
Sportsman Bracket
Tim Heibert of Osoyoos in his black 1990 Mustang
defeated John Johnson of Oliver in his blue 1989 Mustang
Sportsman Bracket Fast
Yanny Tsigonias of Osoyoos in his red 1999 Mustang
defeated Dean Kallstrom of Kelowna in his green 1970 Charger
Pro Bracket
Lee DeShaw of Tonasket, WA in his yellow 1929 Plymouth Coupe
defeated Heath Anthony of Osoyoos driving black 1983 Mustang

Steve Clement of Penticton cut a perfect .500 light on his Yamaha sled
and Ralph Pool of Kelowna landed a nearly perfect .501 light in his 1978 Baracuda
The last event of the season will be October 2, 2011. The WCRA hosts the second “Rumble in the Valley” with vintage cars from all over the Okanagan Valley competing for the bragging rights.
