Pictures by the Publisher, helicopter supplied by Adam Sloan of Wine Country Helicopters
Now I must tell you a little story – I have an anxiety disorder where my mind says – ‘no commercial flights, no high rise hotels’ for Jack. Well lately in an effort to fight off the gremlins I have done just about everything but sky diving. This morning thanks to Adam Sloan we removed the passenger door on his small Robinson Raven and off we went up in the wild blue yonder for some pictures that I could use on ODN. (To clarify – we were conforming to flight rules of elevation and notification and I was totally safe and harnessed in at all times as the clear portal was requested by me to get the best possible pictures).
Well everything went well until we approached the side of the hill and began a slight leaning maneuver to turn left over the town. Well…..I had to grab the door jamb and sometimes Adam’s coveralls just to “mentally” stay in the chopper.
Great ride, wonderful pictures and views. Whenever you hear someone say ‘Oliver is a dump’ – tell them you ain’t seen anything till you ride high on a bright and sunny blue sky day.
WOW! – Phone 498-9441 for a ride.
