Town of Oliver Manager Tom Szalay says letters will go out at the end of this month to notify only property owners of new civic addresses – not tenants.

Letters to tenants are not possible as the Town has no record of tenants or anyone renting a property/home.

Tenants reading this should contact their landlord after October 1st to get further information.

Dual street signage in the Town will be installed starting mid-October. Property owners will be asked to change their house numbers starting November 1st and not later than December 31.

Old  street name plates (from signs)  will be removed in early 2012. Dual street signage will be in affect until after the new year to avoid any confusion or complications with emergency responders.

Rural area residents (Area C RDOS) were notified of this change about two weeks ago – if you have not been contacted please call the RDOS in Penticton.

Mailing addresses will change in the Spring when Canada Post gets new community boxes installed.
