Based on information received it is apparent that School District officials wants to be the least disruptive to students/ families/ local schools and has opted to:

1. Not bus students to Osoyoos.

2. Not displace or move Elementary School students in Oliver.

3. Utilize existing portables and nearby private facilities to house Grades 10-11 and 12 students starting next Monday.

4. Await arrival of up to 10 portables from out of town – for grades 8 and 9 (and overflow from higher grades) – location of placement for these not known but likely on existing grounds at the OES/SOSS complex.

5. Students in these lower grades would be coached on lessons until all systems have been prepared for regular classes.

630 pm Thursday September 15 – Community Meeting at the gym at Tucelnuit School – all plans will be outlined and questions answered.
