This photograph by Leza Macdonald shows the attic area above hallways in the old school. Firefighters reported that sprinklers were working in some parts of SOSS but fire travelled quickly in areas above the sprinklers (shown top).

A project of the Heritage Society was to document by photograph, plans and words exactly how the old school was construced with the authors getting into every corner of the building. Thanks to Sue Morhun and Leza Macdonald for that work.
