| On Tuesday September 6, 2011, Geraldine Constance Johnson of Oliver passed away at Sunnybank Centre after a long illness at the age of 90 years. She was predeceased by her husband Tom Johnson; her sisters Dorothy and Melva and brothers Alvin, Ken, Gerry and Boyce. Gerladine will be lovingly remembered by her son Ron (Inge); daughter Sharon (Ken); nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. She came from a family of eight children and has one remaining sister Peggy. Over the years Geraldine has lived in Edmonton, AB, Cadomin, AB, Edson, AB, she moved to Osoyoos in 1978 and then to Oliver in 2002. Geraldine enjoyed knitting, crocheting, rug hooking, loved playing piano and her pride and joy, a Hammond organ. She also loved gardening, feeding the birds but most of all her family. Geraldine also enjoyed her time spent serving with the Royal Purple. She was a ray of sunshine to everyone who knew her. Donations are gratefully accepted to a charity of one’s choice. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday September 12, 2011 at the Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Chapel, 34505 – 89th Street, Oliver.
