I have lived & worked in Oliver for the past 11 years. My 28 year old daughter, Carrie Stephens, has been diagnosed with cancer of the lymph glands. She is currently in a job with no paid sick time & because of all the testing, surgery & now chemotherapy, she has missed a lot of work.
Being a parent/nurse and not being able to make your child better, is a horrendous feeling. By helping her out financially through this fund raiser, I am at least reducing one of her many worries.
We are holding a dance & silent auction at the Oliver Legion on Sat. Sept. 3rd at 7 PM.
We have some wonderful items that have been donated to the auction from a private collection of wines dating from 1996, to a New York Rangers jacket.
We want to celebrate life. Come dance and sing to Carrie’s cure.
Thanks for your help.
