1. Cost of leasing the CPR building determined to be $1415 per month and council agreed to lease it for 28 months to the Oliver Tourism Association. This is to identify the true cost of renting the building.
2. Council also agreed to fund a grant in aid to the OTA for the same amount so that there is no rent cost and any sub-leasing revenue will stay with the tourism group. This is to reflect the support the Town of Oliver is giving to the tourism function.
3. A report on the arrangement between Town of Oliver and the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club came before councillors in that a signed agreement did not exist even though funds for both 2010 and 2011 had been expended. The present arrangement calls for a rent subsidy of $5000 for the air cadet hanger and $10,000 for programming. Council has requested that staff consult with the Oliver Parks and Recreation Society for their comments on future extensions of the arrangement.

4. Council granted a variance to the owners of the new mall for a mistake made in the construction of a building at the northwest corner of the property. Columns constructed were built beyond the measurements specified. No objections were raised by Highways, Public Works or by Council. There was some concern about approving this variance before total completion of the multi-million dollar project. Council was told almost a million dollars is still kept in trust in the form of a bond to protect the Town.
