Friday Regional Director Allan Patton sat down with two provincial MLAs to review just what language is in the Area C Official Community Plan, its Agriculture Plan and just how that might affect business development. The two MLAs John Slater and Bill Barisoff.
According to Patton the meeting was a good one with both sides having concerns but the airing of the details seem to bring clarity to the issues.
The MLA’s were representing constituents that claimed the new “ag” plan may be too restrictive. Slater said the meeting went well with both parties hearing details that helped explain provisions of the plan and how non-restrictive it actually was.
Patton had said earlier in the week that the discussion was centred on a a real hot issue.
Slater said it is like a lot of things discussion helps clarify issues but more talk will likely take place in the near future to ensure that all concerned are on side with the changes.
