Police found no one around the scene of a car fire about 3/4 km east of Sandpoint Drive on OIB land. The car was on a small road to the west of McKinney (McIntrye Vineyards access).

It had been lodged next to a large pine tree and gutted by fire. Forestry staff, Oliver Fire Department and RCMP  were called to the scene.

Time of incident 10:45 to 11:45 pm Sunday. Car towed away for further investigation of vehicle.
