Fortis Electrical worked for many hours last night to put in a new high pole to restore power to the Rockcliffe Area of Oliver. A car had hit a pole causing a major outage for 8 hours with hundreds of people affected. Residents near the replaced pole say they got power at about 2am.

Fortis say power was fully restored. Last night power was out in the Road 1, 2a, 3a and Fairview Road areas.
