Less than 24 hours after a 22 year old mother was sexually assaulted and beaten with a hammer – RCMP continue a surveillance operation at a Penticton business ~ 146 Ellis Street. Two officers have taped the building and were talking to neighbours in the area – concerned about what exactly was going on. Police are there to collect information, secure the premises so that the business owner cannot return for belongings or valuables.
The warrant for David Wesley Bobbitt, 35, stems from the forcible confinement and sexual assault of a 22 year Penticton woman Saturday night. Early Sunday morning, family members told police they located the woman’s vehicle on Ellis Street. Police were patrolling the area when they discovered the rear door of a business ajar.
