The BC Ambassador Program began in 1999; it is an annual event that takes place in August. The program is open to any young man or women age 17 to 24, who has held an Ambassador/Royal title in British Columbia. The British Columbia Ambassador team representing our youth travels thoughout our province, promoting our mandate.
The mandate of the program is to :
Nurture provincial leaders of the future
Promote and assist with the expenses of post-secondary education
Forge links of friendship and understanding thoughout British Columbia communities
Candidates are judged on :
General knowledge of British Columbia (including current events)
Personal Interviews with the Judges
Presentation Skills
Public Speaking
Talent
The British Columbia Ambassador Program event is being held on August 12th and 13th in Merritt B.C. Simmi Brar will be traveling to Merritt on the 8th to begin her week of preparation for the pageant.
