On July 8, Christopher McLea (Buddy) graduated from Combat Engineering in Gagetown, N.B.

Buddy joined the Canadian Forces on July 10, 2010 and started his basic training on July 24,  the same year in St. Jean, Quebec.  He was then transferred to Gagetown to complete his Combat Engineering training.

Buddy is now stationed to CFB Edmonton.   Buddy has been through a gruelling training program for the past 5 months, saying it is the hardest thing he has ever done but also  it is the most rewarding. McLea says the training teaches you alot about yourself, finding strength and determination you never thought you had.

Buddy is the son of Maureen and Bill Doerr and Stuart and Linda McLea.
