Marlene Liske, Joan Parisienne and Maggie Soare all of the Wine and Roses chapter Oliver are checking in the arrivals. The Oliver Wine and Roses chapter of the Crown Jewels of Canada Society held their annual Christmas in July event on Sun July 24th. This year’s theme was Hawaiian-style. The girls were in the giving spirit when 150 women arrived at the Oliver Senior’s Centre. They filled Santa’s Hawaiian sleigh (the red canoe) with items for our local food bank. The ladies enjoyed wine tasting, vendors, a murder mystery and other entertainment. Ladies came from as far away as Vernon, Salmon Arm and Grand Forks. The Crown Jewels of Canada Society is a fully Canadian group of ladies who just want to have fun. There are now chapters in every province in Canada.
