RCMP were called in this morning to deal with the situation of having a 4 year old cougar in the bushes near the Tourism Centre in Oliver.

The cougar could not be dealt with in another manner. The area near the CPR station was very busy with walkers, campers and those on bikes.

The cougar was shot and removed from the area.
