OLIVER COMMUNITIES IN BLOOM JUDGES TOUR
The BC Communities in Bloom JUDGES are COMING!
The BC Communities in Bloom Judges Heather Edwards of Coquitam and Christine Gooch of North Vancouver, will be visiting, touring and evaluating the Oliver Area July 19-21 (starts Tuesday).
Oliver Communities in Bloom requests ALL Oliver Area residents 10 assist by sprucing up their yards and boulevards to show them
how Oliver really BLOOMS!
On July 20/11, they will be touring by car, with a driver and a guide in the following areas:
* Highway # 97 – North to the Bird Sanctuary @ Vaseaux Lake and South to Road #22
* Black Sage Road – North to Osoyoos Indian Band Office/ Petro Canada and South to Road #22
* Tuc el Nuit Road – North to Highway # 97 and South to Osoyoos Indian Band Office.
* Seacrest Hill – To Covert Farms
* 350 Ave. – East to Osoyoos Indian Band Office and West to Fairview Townsite.
* Quails Nest Gallery/ Oliver Community Arts Council Area – Road #1, 95 Street and 346 Ave.
* Downtown Area – Museum, Town Hall, Triangle Park, Kinsmen Water Park, Hike and Bike Path, Community Centre and Main Street.
* South Okanagan Secondary School Area – North on 103 Street, West on 360 Ave., South on 356 Ave.
* Tuc el Nuit Area – 71 Street, 79 Street, 370 Ave West, 81 Street North, 370 A West, 87 Street, 85 Street hill and 366 Ave.
* Forbes Wetlands – 85 and 87 Streets.
STOPS will be made and presentations made by selected speakers at :
Quails Nest Gallery, Oliver Community Gardens, SOSS, Oliver Museum, Oliver Town Hall, Community Centre, Covert Farms, and Forbes Wetlands.
Gardens will be viewed at Country Pines and Road #9.
