The Oliver Heirloom Garden Club was asked to look after the Rose Garden at the SSOS by Marge Hagel 3 years ago. We put a lot of time and effort into planting new roses and cleaning the site. This garden was meant to honor High School grads who had died and the Hagel’s couldn’t manage it any more.
Last summer we were told to come and remove the roses as construction was going to start on that side of the school. We were told that the memmorial plaques would be moved and a new site and garden would be made when the school was finished. I guess that hasn’t been done. Perhaps someone should talk to the School Board or the High School about moving at least the plaques for safe keepin.
