Organizers of two events in the Oliver area have asked for financial assistance from the Oliver Parks and Recreation Society.

The Okanagan Boys and Girls club is seeking free park rent for an outdoor movie event August 8. The fee is small according to a report going to next Monday’s meeting but staff are not recommending it.

The organizers of the Festival of the Tomato at Covert’s have also asked for assistance in using bleachers. The event is planned for August 20th. Once again the cost is minimal and staff are requesting that no grant in aid be given.
