I had the great pleasure of attending and clapping hands and tapping feet to the Thursday night music presentation. Although I have seldom had the opportunity to attend the music of this joy filled band, I was even more impressed with this showing than the last. Christy Lou is a superb band leader, every time I’ve seen her. An excellent performer with a great voice, she impersonates the well known stars whose songs she sings. It was the first time I had heard Joseph d’Aoust sing, although I believe he is well known for his Frank Sinatra voice. I think it was the first time that Phil d’Aoust, spectacular base violin player sang, and he did most well singing in what someone mentioned was Portuguese. Mel Zachary — keyboardist was remarkable as well and his music was enjoyed by all as well. there was even a short period when local dancers joined in a few dances on the concrete floor. If you missed them, or really liked them, they will be playing again soon in Penticton after the Saturday evening downtown market.
