In May – 7 people were elected as directors of the Oliver and District Heritage Society but so far no one has come forth to be the chairman of the board.
Of the four table offices, Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer – only one position has been filled.
Directors elected at the Annual General Meeting were: Bruce Fuller, Karen Skaros, Roma Pedersen, Ron Hovanes, Liane Powell, Stefan Cieslik and Sue Morhun.
Liane Powell volunteered for the position of Treasurer. Secretarial duties have been shared in the last year.
The ODHS operates a museum and an archive with two full time staff. The society is funded by the Regional District with contributions from taxpayers in the rural area and the Town.
