School District No. 53 (Okanagan Similkameen) is pleased to announce the following appointments:
 
Mr. David Foster as Principal of Tuc-el-Nuit Elementary School

Currently the Vice-Principal of Osoyoos Secondary School, since August 2007, Mr. Foster has a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix. He brings many years of experience teaching at the middle and secondary levels.

Ms. Karen Newson as Vice Principal of Oliver Elementary School

Currently Acting Vice Principal at Oliver Elementary School, since September 2010, Ms. Newson has a Masters of Education in Leadership and Administration from Gonzaga University. She has ten years of elementary teaching experience in this school district combined and an additional ten years in other school settings.
 
Ms. Tracy Harrington as Vice Principal of Southern Okanagan Secondary School

Ms. Harrington has been teaching at SOSS for the past thirteen years and has fulfilled many leadership responsibilities during her tenure. She holds a Masters Degree in Leadership and Administration from Gonzaga University.

Candidates will assume their responsibilities effective August 1, 2011.
