The Town of Oliver will provide potable water to residents of System #1 west of the Okanagan River north of Oliver.
The water at those homes needs to be boiled as it is being pumped from the river.
Portable potable water will be made available at the Tuc-el-nuit pump station on 81st Street as soon as crews can install a tap. Bulk water will not be available at this location. Water bottles of any size can be used by consumers. The tap will not allow the attachment of hoses etc.
ODNÂ will inform readers when the system is operational. The Town will advise System users of this change when it is complete.
In the past potable water (via a tap ) was available at the 342nd Avenue pump station and well. It was closed down when there was some contamination issues. This particular site will now see an upgrade with enhanced chlorinat
