The last Festival of the Tomato was in the summer of 2007. After many years of hard work, the volunteers and organizers needed a much deserved break. Enter Milan Starcic. Milan and his lovely little family moved back to Oliver from Cortes Island a year and a half ago. Milan was the founder and sole organizer of The Cortes Island Arts Festival ten years ago. This wonderful event featured 40+ sets of music and arts over two days. Milan has now teamed up with the Coverts to bring back the Festival of the Tomato with a twist. There will be kids tomato activities and the chef competition like before, but there will be a line up of music acts in the afternoon with two full bands and a DJ in the evening. Also there will be overnight camping for people to be able to wine and beer taste responsibly. This event is designed to offer something for everyone. Whether you are 8 or 80.
