Some sort of incident at the airport Friday night involved a light passenger plane landing with some difficulty and the RCMP being called to the scene. One witness told ODN that he had just finished watching the hockey game when the plane approached for a landing.

He heard the engine stop and then some noise. One of the engines may have seized but it appears that the plane could not be taken off the runway.

No other aircraft can land safely until the plane is removed from the tarmac.  Some tire burn debris is on the tarmac. Exact details won’t be known for some time.
