I am getting ready to participate in the Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay for the Kids. As a member of Relay Rockstars team, I’ll be joining my mates on June 11th & 12th at the Kelowna Apple Bowl to run relay style for 24 hours in support of the BC Lions Society’s Easter Seals camping program and the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs.
The money our team raises will help send children with special needs, and financially disadvantaged children to camp this summer. All funds raised stay in the Okanagan to go to support Easter Seals Camp Winfield and the Okanagan Boys and Girls Clubs. For one week each summer, these kids get to be just like every other kid – swimming, canoeing and sailing on the lake, scaling the climbing wall, flying high on the giant swing, and going on overnight campouts.
Many campers look forward to going to camp all year long – it’s an amazing place where they focus on each camper’s abilities rather than their disabilities; where independence, self-esteem, and self-confidence are encouraged and supported by camp staff throughout the week.
With your support, our team will make a generous contribution to helping to send kids with special needs to camp this summer.
To make an online pledge on my behalf just click on the link below. Donations can be made by using Visa or Mastercard.
All online donations will automatically receive an electronic tax receipt. It’s fast, easy, and you’ll be helping to send over hundreds of children with special needs to camp this summer in the Okanagan.
Thanks so much for your support.
Cheers,
Diane DesBrisay
