Brian Taylor, Mayor of Grand Forks has decided time is important and there is not enough of it to run a campaign as a NDP nominee in Boundary-Similkameen.

Taylor was in a race with two candidates: Councillor Marji Basso and HEU rep Rhonda Bruce both of Oliver.
65 year old Taylor, born in Oliver, told ODN that as Mayor of a city and a municipal director on the Regional District his time is restricted. He put his name forward at the beginning of the process and then learned of the interest of the two younger women seeking the nomination. He said he was also concerned about the long process before a nominee can get going and campaign against the government. That process ends in a mail in ballot in August.
Whoever wins will take on MLA John Slater of Osoyoos of the Liberal Party.
