Thomas Firman Evans (1920 – 2011) – Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Boundary Hospital, Grand Forks at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by his wife Doris (1989), brother Clark and daughter Patricia. Lovingly remembered by his children, Bob (Joyce), Linda Payne (Darryl) and Barb Evans; grandchildren, Gina, April, Lori, Veronica, Erin and Natasha (Dale); great-grandchildren, Antasia, Devon, Garret, Arienna, Keith and Justin; great-great-granddaughter, Harlyn; sisters, Agnes, Esther, Evelyn (Wheeler New) and Olive; brother, David (Jean). For many years Thomas was an Orchardist in the South Okanagan Valley and has spent the last 20 years enjoying his retirement in the West Boundary area. Thomas an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting and was a lifetime member of the Sportsman’s Club. A Veteran of World War II, he was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 97, Oliver.A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11 o’clock at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 97, 36217 97th Street, Oliver.
