This land is on a flood plain – as groundwater rises – the oxbow is trying to restore itself.

At a public hearing and last night’s Town Hall meeting, councillors grappled with a situation of what exactly to do with an amendment to the Official Community Plan – that will institute riparian and environmental development areas. At the conclusion of a long public hearing – council decided to seek further advice from staff and others before bringing this OCP amendment back to the table.
