The man who helped revive the sport of tennis in Oliver will be fondly remembered at a tournament that ends today. This the first year for the Peter Perkin memorial. 

Manager of Recreation Bob Grant says Perkin taught tennis lessons. 15 teams have registered for the tourney.

Eric Rundle (“Peter”) Perkin passed away March 2, 2011 in Oliver at the age of 77.
