Over the next few weeks, Oliver residents will be invited to sign a petition to save Tuc-el-Nuit Elementary (TENS). This action will help prevent the 2012/13 consolidation of 500 elementary children into one school—Oliver Elementary School (OES)—making it the largest school in the district, with possibly 100 students over the facilities designed capacity.
The petition campaign was started by two civic-minded, grade four students Toni and Renee have been best pals at TENS since grade one. So far they have collected over 100 signatures in opposition to closing Tuc-el-Nuit Elementary School.
Great work ladies. When you are asked, please show your support and sign the petition.
