Some time ago we installed a new (fancier) FREE classified system that was designed to make my life easier but to be honest – it did not.

I have asked the techies behind the scene to look into a separate section for ODN that would handle classifieds in a way that works well for the readers and works well for the publisher.

Hopefully that will be up and running before Labour Day. Set a target and then we have something to look forward to.

There will be more control for the publisher in knowing who is operating the system externally but some new rules will be inserted as well.

If you place a ad – it will last one week with no instant “Take Down”. Items will not remain for more than a week.

Makes sense to have a number of items not just one.

Pets – for selling, lost or found will likely end up as a separate section or be eliminated.

As the readership grows more are attracted to this free service but some really “use” it.
