Britt is getting stronger everyday! She is up walking short periods and is sitting in chair for 30 min at a time. She even tackled school today no homework thou just colored :)

Brittany Michaud was awoken late Friday (December 2nd) night from an induced coma after her heart transplant surgery.

The 6 hour operation occurred Thursday at St. Paul’s with parents Bernie and Shawna close by.

Tubes were removed and Brittany was concious and speaking at midnight but looking forward to a return soon to Children’s Hospital/Ronald McDonald House.

Long term – Brittany will have to be in Vancouver most of three months to ensure a full recovery. She could come home to Oliver for brief periods.
